Becki and Sarah dig into the details of Fox’s Literary Pub series, particularly the first book, “Wine and Punishment,” and how the concept evolved from a bookstore to a literary pub. They also discuss Fox’s approach to plotting—somewhere between plotting and “pantsing” (writing by the seat of one’s pants)—and the tricky task of coming up with unique murder methods. Sarah shares her experience of creating multiple mystery series, addressing challenges like keeping characters and settings consistent and balancing overlapping series.

Sarah Fox, writer of cozy mysteries, was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she developed a love for mysteries at a young age. When not writing novels or working as a legal writer she is often reading her way through a stack of books or spending time outdoors with her English Springer Spaniel.
